This Privacy Policy explains how Arrows Out! – Clear The Board collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an account or log in. Your gameplay progress (levels completed, stars earned, coins, settings, and similar data) is stored locally on your device and is not tied to your name, email address, or any other personal identifier that we collect directly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores gameplay data locally on your device, including:
- Level progress, stars, currency balances (coins/diamonds), and inventory (hints, boosters)
- App settings (sound, music, haptics, language preference)
- Daily reward and streak tracking
This data stays on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the App, unless a backup/restore feature is explicitly offered and enabled.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Like most apps, we use third-party services that automatically collect certain information when you use the App:
Analytics (Firebase Analytics). We use Firebase Analytics to understand how players interact with the App — for example, which levels are played, session length, and general usage patterns. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you by name.
Crash and Diagnostic Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics). We use Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports and diagnostic logs so we can identify and fix bugs. These reports may include device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical state of the app at the time of the crash.
Advertising (Google AdMob). The App displays banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded video ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partner ad networks may collect device identifiers (such as advertising ID), general location (derived from IP address), and app usage data to serve and measure ads, and — subject to your consent choices where required by law — to personalize ads.
In-App Purchases. If you make a purchase (e.g., removing ads, buying coins/hints), the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not by us directly. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of the purchase (product purchased, amount, and a transaction/receipt identifier) to unlock the relevant content.
Remote Configuration (Firebase Remote Config / Cloud Firestore). The App fetches non-personal configuration data (game settings, ad placements, event schedules, and this Privacy Policy / Terms text itself) from our backend so we can update the game without requiring an app update.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, home address, or government-issued ID. We do not require an email address or phone number to use the App. We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
3. How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
- Display and measure advertising, and (where applicable and consented to) personalize ads
- Process in-app purchases and unlock purchased content
- Understand aggregate usage trends to guide future updates
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms & Conditions
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with:
- Service providers that help us operate the App, including Google (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Firestore, AdMob) and platform stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) for purchase processing.
- Advertising partners within the Google AdMob network, for the purpose of serving and measuring ads.
- Legal authorities, if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or investigate fraud or security issues.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same or equivalent privacy protections.
5. Advertising Choices
You can limit ad personalization through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization, or Settings → Privacy → Ads
Where required by law (e.g., in the EEA/UK), the App will present a consent prompt (via a Consent Management Platform / Google's UMP SDK) before showing personalized ads, and you may withdraw consent at any time via the in-App privacy/consent option in Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the App is listed under Google Play Families or a similar program, advertising and analytics are configured to operate in a manner consistent with that program's requirements and applicable law (e.g., COPPA, GDPR-K). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below so we can address it.
7. Data Retention
Locally stored gameplay data persists until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Aggregated analytics and crash data are retained by our service providers (Google/Firebase) according to their own retention policies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing (such as ad personalization). To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. Because most gameplay data is stored locally on your device and not linked to an identity we hold, deleting the App from your device will remove that local data directly.
9. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (including Google/Firebase and AdMob) may process and store information on servers located outside your country of residence. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers as required by applicable law.
10. Security
We rely on industry-standard security practices provided by our infrastructure partners (Google Firebase/Firestore) to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
